This collector’s item was made and manufactured in Aalen, Germany. Using a steel engraving needle, the artist first scratches the image into a varnish-covered zinc or copper plate, which is then placed into an acid bath to create the desired depth. The image is then printed onto Sowa & Reiser’s handmade etching paper using a hand driven printing press.
