Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Evil Queen Production Cel Signed (Walt Disney, 1937). Heart of a pig! I’ll go to the Dwarfs’ cottage in a disguise so complete no one will ever suspect! Says the Evil Queen as she opens her potion book to make the concoction that will transform her into the Old Hag. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of the Evil Queen with her book of potions. She measures a staggering 8.5″ x 7″. The original nitrate cel has been meticulously trimmed to the image and applied to an acetate cel which has been placed over a custom hand-painted background. As an added bonus, the cel has been signed by two of “Walt’s Nine Old Men”, Frank Thomas (1912 – 2004) and Ollie Johnston (1912 – 2008). It’s a magnificent composition featuring Disney’s first feature film villain signed by two of the studios premier animators. Framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 13.5″ x 9″ in a 27″ x 21″ frame. The cel surface at the center of the queen shows rippling and has likely been professionally restored. Condition is very good. The item “Rare Snow White, Evil Queen Production Cel Signed Walt Disney (1937)” is in sale since Thursday, March 12, 2020.
