ADD A LITTLE DISNEY MAGIC TO YOUR HOLIDAY COLLECTION WITH THIS STUNNING RECREATION OF THE MAGIC MIRROR FROM SNOW WHITE, COMPLETE WITH A HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE OF THE SPIRIT IN THE MIRROR. This rare and exclusive Walt Disney Classic Collection piece features the iconic Magic Mirror from Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Ever since I started collecting the WDCC pieces, I was always hoping they would create a Magic Mirror with a spirit face that really looked like it was floating in the mirror. Over the years, several versions emerged (not WDCC) that were okay, but didn’t really fully live up to my expectations. Then finally, the WDCC released this version, which features a holographic image of the spirit in the mirror. And the best part is, depending on the lighting in the room and the angle you’re looking at it, it can look completely different, as it reflects the colors and the room around it. I tried to capture this in the included video, so you can see how it looks as you move around it. It’s really a stunning piece and a must-have for anyone who loves the Evil Queen or Snow White in general. The figurine is approximately 11.5 tall. It comes in its original box along with a Certificate of Authenticity and a WDCC booklet. It is part of a limited edition of only 5000 made, and it is #1022. The special figurine was the featured product at a Spring Premiere Event in 2005. The sculpture features a holographic image of the Spirit in the mirror. This sculpture was displayed for a short period, and then packaged up in its box and stored in a closet with other WDCC figures. It is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to anyone’s Disney or WDCC collection. I think UPS Ground Saver is the cheapest. Or you can pick it up locally in NJ. Here’s a little info I found on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from Wikipedia. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a 1937 American animated film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. Based on the German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, it is the first full-length animated feature film and the first Disney animated feature film. In 1989, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”. Here’s a little about the Walt Disney Classics Collection from their website. The Classics Collection started in 1992 with three scenes, Bambi, Cinderella, and Fantasia’s Sorcerer Apprentice. Many other series have since been introduced. Some figurines are limited, and some have been retired. Some of these figurines have risen high on the secondary market. The figurines are made of porcelain, and the process is similar to that use to make Hummel figurines. Individual pieces are molded, put together, and fired in an oven. Then they are painted and fired again. Each figurine is marked on the bottom, signifying the year it was produced. The marks represent significant milestones in Disney history. The figurines with the first year mark are usually the most desirable.
