The company was founded in 1995 by Marlene Xenis who, in the early years worked from the basement of her home. Marlene was later joined by her two daughters, Tania and Jesse, and a team of highly skilled artisans. Handmade out of a variety of woods including Canadian Maple, the Xenis team have turned their love for the arts into unique, eye catching, collectible characters. Xenis dolls are dressed in individually tailored, original, eye catching designs. An Xenis collectible doll is a real treasure that can be passed down from generation to generation. This incredible work of art by Marlene Xenis stands 36 tall and although she was originally intended to be a limited edition of 60, only 5 were ever produced. This is #2 of those 5!! She is truly a work of art. Ilse was the Evil Queen in the story of Snow White. She comes with a handcrafted mask that easily slips on and off the wooden head. The entire piece is made of wood, a craft few are continuing these days. Her shoulders are jointed so that she can either raise her arms up into the air or place her hands on her hips as pictured. Her clothing is beautifully made with layers of crushed velvet and satin and is not removable. Her feet are firmly attached to her pedestal in the shape of a block. She comes with her custom made wooden box bearing the Xenis label as well as her certificates. She has only been displayed once during the Halloween season, otherwise she has remained safely stored in her box. She is in pristine new condition with no damage whatsoever.
